Isamu Noguchi Furniture

Isamu Noguchi is considered to be one of the great sculptors of the 20th century. Noguchi was known to have created "lived spaces" for the theater, playgrounds and interior gardens. In 1939 Noguchi designed a free-form dining table for A. Congers Goodyear the president of The Museum of Modern Art in New York. This table's organic form would be the inspiration for the coffee table that Noguchi would design for Herman Miller in 1944. Isamu Noguchi Furniture
