Eileen Gray Furniture

Eileen Gray was one of the most influential furniture designers and architects of the modern movement. She stood stalwartly independent throughout her career in a world of mostly males who were aligned to one movement or another. Her design style was an opulent, luxuriant take on the industrially produced materials used by the International Style Designers. The voluptuous leather and tubular steel Bibendum chair, and E-1027 glass and tubular steel table are the most familiar iconic pieces from her designs.
